Minutes: Present: Carol Vallencourt, District No. 1; Carol Studdard, District No. 2; and Lisa Graham, District No. 5. Charles Van Zant, District No. 3, participated by telephone conference due to his National Guard duties in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Superintendent David Owens was also in attendance at the meeting. Wayne Bolla, District No. 4, was absent.

Minutes:Ben Wortham, Deputy Superintendent, led this workshop and began by giving an overview of Strategic Planning, including its purpose, the requirements, process and time line. Strategic Planning is a long-range planning process with a time span of three to five years with annual updates and minor revisions. The district's plan has annual goals and measurable objectives based on identified needs, projected enrollment and revenues. Mr. Wortham reviewed the school district's current beliefs, vision and mission. The needs/concerns for 2007-2012 as identified by the Board can be found in the attachment "Issues-Needs-Concerns."
